K2 Builders Ltd is a successful building company established by Master Builder Craftsman Kevin O’Grady in 1999.

​​The name K2 is taken from the world-famous Himalayan Mountain K2. Tales of how people have surmounted the challenges of its severely steep slopes are seen by Kevin and the crews as symbolic of their “can do” attitude, typical of Kevin’s professional approach to all projects handled.

With 40 years' building experience in New Zealand, Ashburton-born Kevin and his family now live on Waiheke Island where the company has been successfully engaged in the construction industry for the past 20 years.

Kevin is highly experienced in the construction of bespoke homes and an expert in project management, bridging the gap between the Architect, the Client and the build.

In 2015, Kevin received the Registered Masterbuilders Auckland Supreme Home of the Year along with the Craftmanship, Gold and Category awards. Kevin is also the RMBA Chair of the Waiheke sub-branch of Auckland RMBA.
